Update v1.33.1 and Space Wolves hotfixes

Last week, the Space Wolves charged into the battlefields of Warpforge as a new collectable faction, and they have certainly begun a saga for the ages. When the new update and faction were released, a number of issues with the new features rose up, and the community identified problematic play patterns of the Space Wolves, including an infinite combo.

Since last week, we have been working hard to iron out these issues, most of which were addressed with last Saturday’s Update v1.33.1, but we also deemed it necessary to address some of the more problematic cards for the Space Wolves. We are keeping an eye on the statistics, particularly those of the new faction, in case something needs readjustment, but for the time being, take a look at the full list of changes below:

General fixes and improvements

  • Improved matchmaking times and fixed an issue that prevented some players from finding matches
  • UI fixed for the menus that didn’t behave correctly in ultra-wide screens
  • Fixed the Space Wolves troop voice lines that were not triggering
  • Faction leaderboards for both classic and skirmish should now be available
  • Fix for players not being able to add Defence cards to old Classic decks
  • Fix for some players getting stuck in the tutorial without being able to collect the first campaign reward. This happened when a player was in the middle of the tutorial when the update went live
  • The Battle for Warpforge scoring bar should now be displaying which side is winning
  • Introduced a toggle for the Battle Pass premium border

Changes to Space Wolves cards

  • Blackmane Reiver: This card gained Camouflage and now boosts the drawn troop instead of reducing its cost. Changed description to “Camouflage. Ferocity: Draw a troop. Give it +1M, +1R and +1 Health”
  • Deathwolf Scout: This troop’s trigger on Ferocity use now deals damage to an enemy instead of reducing card costs. Changed description to “Camouflage. When a friendly troop triggers Ferocity, deal 1 damage to a random enemy troop”
  • Blood Claw: Damage lowered from 3 to 2. Changed description to “Ferocity: Deal 2 damage to an enemy”
  • Hunting Wolf: Its Ferocity ability can now only damage non-Flying targets. Changed description to “Ferocity: Attack a random non-Flying enemy troop”
  • Fenrisian Wolf: Its Ferocity ability can now only damage non-Flying targets. Changed description to “Tide 2. Ferocity: Attack a non-Flying enemy troop. If it has a Hunt Mark, gain +2M this turn”
  • Wulfen Pack Leader: Its Ferocity ability now deals less damage. Changed description to “Pack. Ferocity: Deal 4 damage to a random enemy troop, or 7 if you control no other troops”
  • Tyrnak and Fenrir: Increased cost from 7 to 10
  • Raid Tactics: Increased cost from 3 to 4

These changes are now live! Command the Space Wolves into battle and carve your own saga among the stars!
