Take a first look at the balance changes coming soon! During last month’s meta report, we saw a large disparity between Mozrog and the rest of the Ork Warlords. This balance update will try to bring better parity to Ork Warlords, bumping some of their least-used cards while toning down Mozrog.
The Dark Angels and the Genestealer Cults also receive some improvements, mostly focused on making some of their cards more efficient and their least threatening troops harder to contest. After last month’s improvements to the Ultramarines, Uriel Ventris started to show some frustrating play patterns, so we’re reverting the cost reduction of his talent.

Orks
- Big Shoota Boy: Increased Melee from 2 to 3
- Tankbusta: Increased Melee and Ranged from 4 to 5
- Gunwagon: Increased Ranged from 7 to 8
- Gorkanaut: Increased Health from 9 to 10
- Stompa: Now has a Rally effect. Changed description to “Armour 2. Concussive. Unstable. Rally: Stun a random enemy”
- Painboy Sniklaw: Increased Melee from 5 to 6 and Ranged from 2 to 3
- Kommando: Increased Melee from 7 to 8 and Health from 6 to 7
- Veteran Stormboy: Increased Melee from 6 to 7
- Skrag Every Stash!: Has been reworked as a more intuitive anti-stealth tech. Increased cost from 1 to 3 and changed description to “Deal 1 damage to all enemies, and they lose Stealth”
- Grot on Bombsquig: Lowered Melee from 2 to 1
- Rukkatrukk Squigbuggy: Changed Flank for Armour 1. It now reads “Armour 1. Unstable. Strike: Deploy a Bomb Squig”
- Mozrog Skragbad: His Stomp has been moved to his talent. He now just reads “Talent: Da Bigger Dey Iz…”
- Da Bigger Dey Iz… (Mozrog Skragbad’s talent): Now gives Stomp. Changed description to “Ephemeral. Deal 1 damage to an enemy. If target survives, give +1M and Stomp to your Warlord this turn”
Dark Angels
- Wages of Retribution: Lowered cost from 4 to 3
- Master Interromancer (Ezekiel’s talent): Lowered cost from 3 to 1
- Interrogator Chaplain: Increased Ranged from 2 to 3
- Covert Operation: Lowered cost from 4 to 3
Genestealer Cults
- Neophyte Heavy: Increased Health from 3 to 4
- Acolyte Heavy: Increased Ranged from 0 to 2
- Hybrid Metamorph: Increased Melee from 3 to 4
- Aberrant: Increased Health from 5 to 6
- Subterranean Ambush: Lowered cost from 5 to 4
- Acolyte Specialist: Increased Melee from 1 to 2
- Hulking Aberrant: Now has Armour 1. It also stuns an enemy and earns permanent Melee on Ambush. Changed description to “Armour 1. Concussive. Ambush: Gain +2M and stun a random enemy”
- Abominant: Now has Armour 1 by default and earns the additional armour on Ambush. Changed description to “Armour 1. Concussive. Ambush: Gain Armour 1”
- Metamorph Iconbearer: Changed description to “Rally: Choose a 2-cost troop and create 2 copies in your hand. Lower their cost by 1”
Ultramarines
- Master of the Fleet (Uriel Ventris’ talent): Reverted cost from 1 to 2
