Greetings, commanders! It’s time to keep the ball rolling with a new update! v1.28.0 brings a swathe of small tweaks and not-so-small improvements to existing features and systems in the game, as well as solving one of the major problems of the Emperor’s Children release. Take a look below to learn all that’s coming into the game with this update

New raid event: The Whispering Web
Lhykhis leaps from the Webway ready to slay her foes and protect the Craftworld! This update sets the stage for the start of the new raid event on Thursday, 17th. This new reinforcement drop will add a new Legendary Warlord and up to 10 new cards to the Saim-Hann Craftworld’s collection. To take part in this raid event, you simply need to play the game! It will be the best time to unlock and collect the new cards using the Medals you earn while fighting in the event.
If you have never played in a raid event before, stay tuned! A web post will go live soon explaining all of its inner workings.
Emperor’s Children troop voice lines
Yes, finally, Noise Marines are going to get noisy! Update v1.28.0 brings an end to the lack of Emperor’s Children troop voice lines. More importantly for them (even if not enough for a true follower of Slaanesh), they get to be in the spotlight once again. Get ready to rediscover the Emperor’s Children, now accompanied by their glorious (dis)harmonies!

Craft styles with Wildcards
We have enabled Style crafting! To craft a card’s Style using Wildcards, you must first own the base form of the card. Then, search for the card you want a style for in the collection, enter its detailed view and select the Style you’d want to craft. From there, you simply have to summon your courage, defeat your doubts and craft the Style like you would a regular card!
Currently, you will only be able to craft Abaddon the Despoiler’s Cel-shaded style, but be sure there are more coming later down the line. Stay tuned!
Improved deck inspecting
We are working on ways to improve the current deck preview and inspecting interface, aiming to convey the essential information quickly and make it easier to delve into the details if players wish to. The first step we have taken is to make the rarity of cards visible while inspecting a deck.
This update also fixes an issue that prevented players from inspecting cards when viewing a deck.

Practice with your own deck
Sometimes, the ranked ladder can be a bit daunting. Sometimes, you just want to have a chill game. Sometimes, you just want to get silly buffing a Grot until he could topple a Reaver Titan. Now, you will not be limited to the pre-built selection of decks in Practice Mode and will be able to play a Practice match against a bot with your active deck.
This update also fixes the order appearance of factions in the Practice menu so that it is consistent with the rest of the game.
Other fixes, tweaks and notes
- Cosmetic titles are now displayed while in battle under each player’s avatar
- Now you can change the selected army in the missions window
- Fixed the mulligan black screen while waiting for the opponent
- The Styles collection menu is currently not colouring (or rather, decolouring) Styles you do not own correctly. This will be fixed soon
